What is Chiliz Chain (CC2)?
Chiliz Chain is an EVM-compatible blockchain (mainnet id 88888) purpose-built for sport and entertainment tokenization, secured by a proof-of-staked-authority validator set and gas-paid in CHZ. Fan tokens live on it as CAP-20 tokens — the chain's ERC-20-equivalent standard.

The chain in numbers
Mainnet chain id is 88888 (the Spicy testnet is 88882 — never mix them). CHZ is the gas and staking asset. Blocks are produced by a permissioned proof-of-staked-authority validator set, and the canonical explorer is Chiliscan (powered by Routescan), which exposes an Etherscan-compatible API. Circulating and native supply are read live from the chain on the SportFi chain desk rather than quoted here: aggregator supply figures and the chain's own supply endpoint do not always agree, and the legacy Ethereum ERC-20 contract is a different ledger from native CC2.
